Are you interested in developing your credibility with prospective clients and others in the NCCA?

You might not know that we have well over 100 people on our mailing list who would be very interested in what you have to say!

We're putting together a monthly newsletter, and asking for your contribution to help make it successful.  This is a free benefit of being an NCCA member.

Why are we doing this?

  1. To provide more value to our members.
  2. To bring valuable coaching content to potential clients.
  3. To build visibility for the NCCA and potential clients for NCCA coaches.
  4. To help NCCA members understand each others' areas of expertise.

We will archive this content on the NCCA website as a growing example of the value coaches can bring to the community.

We would like you to contribute newsletter articles of moderate size, 100-450 words. The article itself should not primarily advertise your products or services, although you can hyperlink to resources which the reader might find relevant to the subject. At the bottom of the article, we will give you space for a 50 word description of yourself, your website, and your expertise, products, and services.  In addition, we recommend you include a photo of yourself, and can include another photo or diagram which might add value and visual appeal to the article.

Although the result will end up being HTML formatted, we recommend that you keep formatting to a minimum, as the content will be adapted to the standard look and feel of NCCA as shown in the example. If you have a need for complex formatting, we'll consider it as long as we have the time to do the adaptation to the standard style. A template can be made available if you wish to do your writing in an HTML editor.

The item must be written by an NCCA member, include no material copyrighted by others (except under fair-use provisions), and judged by the NCCA leaders to be of general interest to our coaches. The criteria for judging an article will be whether it contributes to the goals of the NCCA, is professional, and is of interest both to coaches and potential coaching clients. If not accepted, the NCCA leaders will offer feedback on how to better meet these goals.

Our objective is to have one newsletter a month, with exactly one of these articles, at or near the top. The only thing which would go above it would be an urgent announcement (like "Have you registered for next week's presentation?") of just a couple of lines, and pointers to items later in the message. This helps put the newsletter item front-and-center, and more appealing to readers.

We've created an example: Click here.

If you have special requests regarding timing of publication, formatting, pictures, hyperlinks, or anything else, please make include it with your submission.

We won't start doing this newsletter until we've accepted five submissions, so start writing today! Feel free to leverage relevant content from other articles you've already written. Please direct your questions and mail your submissions to our secretary, Carl Dierschow.
