Brittany Walker Conant has put together a coach marketing workshop - a hands on "how-to" session to help coaches define their niche based on their passion, and create a marketing plan and budget. It is next Wednesday (11 December), is located at the Fort Collins Senior Center, and costs $49. Contact Brittany if you want to sign up.
Irene has received her ACC Credential!
Carl has released the first draft of his book on Job Satisfaction and has 11 reviewers.
Lloyd and Pat have signed the contract for their Total Life Coaching book.
Pat and Diane will be announcing the Coaching Research Consortium in coming weeks. This group will be dedicated to serious academic-type research around Coaching topics.
Carmen told us that the PYCC is working on an exciting new product and we should see an announcement in a couple of months.
Martha told us that David Ellis is going to be doing another workshop - more details to come.
Victoria Lynne is acting as a liaison between the Denver Coach Federation (DCF), Boulder Coaches Alliance (BCA) and NCCA since she is a member of all three. The groups would like to create an opportunity for everyone to meet each other in a social setting, targeted for the evening of 1 February or 8 February. They are trying to find a hotel in north Denver.
Contact Victoria for more information or if you would like to help. She would like a volunteer in the next two weeks.
Martha Conant needs to receive everyone's $25 2003 dues from everyone. Contact Martha for more information.
The next planning meeting is next week, 12 December at 12:00 at the Starry Night Cafe Terrace on Harmony and Timberline.
ICF Conference - Carl, Irene, Pat and Diane attended the conference in Atlanta and gave verbal summaries of their experiences.
CoachVille Intensive - Karen and Lucinda attended the CoachVille conference in Denver and gave verbal summaries.
Tony talked to us about the Hour For Peace which is being held at the Lincoln Center at 4:30am on New Year's Eve. This is a simultaneous event held worldwide.
A fundraiser is being held for this on Sunday 8 December in the Lincoln Center Canyon West room, 12:00-5:00.
Carl and Lynne have now scheduled the event which is called "Envision The Future - Live It Today." It will be held at Avogadro's Number on 3 February.
We have some volunteers so far but if you would like to contribute please contact Lynne or Carl as soon as possible. 200 postcards were printed up which everybody should pass out to their friends and colleagues. Press Releases are being written and sent out by Brittany.
The keystone of this event will be a visioning exercise led by Christine, similar to what we did at the Vision For Coaching event.
We will have a table for members' marketing materials. But please remember that 90% of the content on each piece should be readily useful - tips, techniques, useful information. Only 10% should be marketing you or your business. Start thinking about what you'd like to bring!
Pat led a great discussion of issues around Coaching vs. PsychoTherapy vs. Psychology. The state of Colorado is very active in discussions in this area and is one of a handful of states that are belwethers of change. More information will be attached to the NCCA website.
