2. Announcement from Diane Griffin, President of the GA Chapter

To Chapter Leaders
Diane Griffin, President of the GA Chapter attempted to post to the list and the attempt failed. I am sending it out again and I believe that
the Georgia Chapter has put together an excellent program with a number of conference calls with representatives of the Coaching Schools/Firms.
I think that Diane and the Georgia Chapter are offering a service to all of us. My recommendation is that you as Chapter Leaders
announce the dates and times to your membership as they will benefit greatly!
If your chapter produces a tele-conference program that can be shared with other chapters, it would give extra value to membership in the ICF and
I hope you will share it with the Chapter Leaders List.
Thanks again to Diane and the Georgia Chapter.
Best regards,
Ira

Conversations with Coaching Schools Series
offered by the Georgia Coach Association
(An ICF-Chartered Chapter)
To promote professional credentialing and certification, the Georgia Coach Association is offering a series of virtual meetings featuring a representative of an ICF accredited school. The presenters will create an experience based on the philosophy of the school they represent. These calls are a wonderful learning opportunity for beginning coaches as well as experienced coaches. The leaders of the calls are industry leaders and exceptional coaches. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from the masters.
These meetings are free, except for you long distance telephone charges. Some bridge lines will not allow access from some discounted phone services. You may always direct dial, or you may want to be prepared to use a purchased long distance phone card to reduce cost, if your long distance service will not access the bridge line.
How to Participate: Follow the instructions attached for Virtual Call Etiquette, and join in.

Virtual Call Etiquette
Thank you for your interest in our Conversations with Coaching Schools.
Welcome. Please use these bridge call etiquette guidelines:
1. At class time, call the number above. Please call that number only at class
time, not before or after the class. No one is 'there' at that number
except during the scheduled class time.
2. Please call from a regular, wired phone. No cell phones, no speakerphones
(unless you can use mute) and no cordless phones. (These add LOTS of noise to
the call and annoy everyone.)
3. When you call in, the instructor will hear a beep so he/she will know
someone has arrived, but no one will know that it's you. When you hear the
instructor say "Hi, who just joined the call?" feel free to say "Hi,
everyone, this is Mary from Chicago" or something like that.
4. If you need to join late, please don't speak when coming in because you
will interrupt the call. Listen quietly and come up to speed into the flow
of the discussion.
5. When you wish to join in the conversation or add something, please state your name and then speak; "This is Mary. I'm wondering if...."
6. When the class is over, feel free to say goodbye to everyone and just
hang up. Please don't stay on the line after the call is over as our
telephone conferencing system needs to reset itself.
***Note: Some bridge lines will not allow access through some discounted phone services. You may always direct dial in, or you may want to be prepared to use a prepaid long distance phone card to access a bridge, if you long distance discounted service won't access the line.
