New business report
- Christine passed out an advanced relationship training
- Pat Nama gave us the phone number of the bridge for the
Julio Olalla conference. Time Monday July 28, 2003 at 5:30PM MST. Phone
620-584-8231, pin 5361.
- NOTE: Julio was sick and couldn't
make it, the call was rescheduled for Monday 11 August, 9am MDT. Same
phone number.
ICF conference report
- Christine and Lynne met with DCA and BCA members to
discuss the Colorado Coaching booth at the ICF conference. The oxygen bar is
a go. Christine asked who would take the lead for the salon. The salon would
be a place where the coaching legislation could be discussed and any other
topics like "summer coaching league". The salon would provide a place for
hospitality and be a meeting place. Christine asked if there was a volunteer
to represent NCCA with representatives from other organizations to develop the
salon idea and work in the booth. No one in this group volunteered.
Summer coaching league report
- There was no report on the summer coaching league,
however those who said they had made contacts through the league had good
experiences.
Christine reports on legislation and coaching banquet
- Christine was appointed our representative to the
Colorado Coalition of Coaches by a unanimous vote.
- Sally was not present to report on the coaching banquet
Maggie Carter speaks on Byron Katie "The Work"
- Dialogues with Emerging Spiritual Teachers by John W.
Parker
- 4 questions and a turn-around
- Loving What Is: Four questions that can change your life
by Byron Katie with Stephen Mitchell.
- Maggie passed out cards to everyone and asked us to fill
out the cards.
- Christine volunteered to share what she wrote on the
card and Maggie used her experience to help us understand "the work".
- Maggie passed out the Judge-Your-Neighbor Worksheet.
For each statement and statements within each statement ask the four questions
and do the turn around. These worksheets and other material including audio
files with excerpts from Katie’s book "Loving What Is" are available at
www.thework.org. The material can be downloaded and used without
permission.
- Maggie will be offering a course for therapist and
coaches on the 1st and 3rd weekends in October. These courses will be held on
Fridays 1-5PM and Saturdays 9AM-4PM. She will lead attendees through "The
Work".
"What do we want to do with the tool kit & Yahoo
group"
- John discussed the purpose of the Yahoo group and how to
access it. Since there were only a few present, he will send out a email
detailing how to sign up and use the Yahoo group. He as uploaded several
files and created databases containing coaching tools and reference material.
