Calling All Coaching Researchers, Theorists, and Practitioners

Consistent with the conference theme of "The Art and Science of Coaching," the ICF is sponsoring our second annual Coaching Research Symposium. The symposium will bring together academics, researchers, and practicing coaches to share ideas and build community as they help move the field and the profession of coaching forward.

The symposium will provide a forum for researchers to present their work, and general sessions that will allow for thoughtful dialogue among researchers and between researchers and professional coaches. The proceedings will be made available through the ICF and will contribute to the credibility of coaching as a field and to the development of best practices of coaching as a profession.

The symposium is designed to gather coaching researchers from a variety of venues along with practicing coaches who are interested in learning more about coaching research to inform their practice and learn further about their profession.

What is the focus of this symposium?

·         To provide a venue for coaching researchers and theorists to showcase their work

·         To build community among coaching researchers and promote sharing for the growth of coaching research and theory

·         To build a stronger bridge between the coaching research community and coaching practitioners

·         To set a precedent for the presentation of excellence in the coaching research field

Who should attend?

·         Anyone who is interested in finding out about the current state and future direction of coaching research is invited to attend and to participate by joining in discussions during the symposium.

·         If you are a practicing coach or member of academia and feel you have a significant contribution to make toward the advancement of research related to the coaching field or are conducting or have completed research, you are invited to attend and to present a paper on that research or to participate in a poster session.

To attend the symposium, simply register on the web at the 9th Annual ICF Conference Pre-Conference Workshop registration page: http://www.coachfederation.org/conference/quebec04/default.asp
