NCCA Planning Meeting Notes

Attendees

• Sue, Carl, Mandy, Jeff, John

Meeting time

• Sue's getting positive support for shifting to an afternoon time
• Move to 2:30-4:30 to avoid Bobbie's conflict?  Avoid rush hour traffic?
• Decision: Go to 3:00-5:00, starting in September
• Red Cross facility, just off College between Harmony & Trilby
• Shift agenda to put presentation or group activity at the beginning, followed by chapter business
• Carl will put the agenda topic in the meeting announcement

BCA social

• None of us made it

Agenda for September meeting

• John is going to facilitate a networking activity, based on his experience at Toastmasters
• People introduce who they are and what they're up to
• John will manage the time, and will help people to keep on schedule using colored cards
• John will ask the attendees to create a list of idea topics that people can speak to
• John can explain how this activity fits into what Toastmasters does
• John's part will be 45 minutes
• Carl will send out a message today about the change in time, in addition to the normal announcement next week
• Jeff will facilitate the rest of the meeting
• Jeff will contact Joan to see if she's going to be there, or can supply an idea for a fun activity
• Carl will be the "focus on the coach" this time

  • Workforce center

  • Training association
  • Medical community
  • Workshops in connection with the above
• Jeff will facilitate a discussion around who might like us to deliver workshops
• Finances - moving along, redoing the signature card at the bank
• Mandy will give Carl a key to the post office box for when she's out of town
• Jeff will bring snacks or something
• Sue will do this in the future
